What turns a good gift idea into that really special gift that will stand out from the crowd?
Before we get into that issue there is a question I would like to ask you.
”Have you ever been to a reception and found that at least one of the many gifts have been duplicated?”
I remember one wedding I went to where the bride had been given three toasters (two of them were part of matching sets with other kitchen equipment). Everyone may have simply laughed it off with jokes about his and hers etc but just think of the embarrassment they also felt. Who decides which gift is returned to the store (if bought locally) or which gift is put away to await a breakage of the first one being used. The wedding day is meant to be a really special day in someone’s life! Would it right to put them through that extra embarrassment and trouble?
But can you get around the problem of duplicate gifts? Or to put it another way.
How do you make sure your idea is truly unique gift and special to the person receiving it?
If the person really is someone special to you than you need to suggest that you have gone to some trouble trying to track down just the right gift idea. This would mean not getting something available in every department store in town as that is where everyone else is looking as well.
Personalization of any gift will make it stand out in the recipients memory whenever they use so you could try to find a personalized gift idea .
It should be something they can talk about with pride and how their ’special friend’ took the time and trouble to find the unique personalized gift just for them and them alone.
There are a lot of unique gift ideas on the market but we need to ask some questions.
* Would you say the gift idea was truly unique? * Does the gift suggest you have gone to some trouble to hunt it down? * Is it really personalized enough to show it is meant for that person or that couple alone? * Is it something that would be kept or consumed like a bottle of wine? Or does it have some ongoing benefit to constantly remind the person of you? * Would it say it was unique enough to be given to a person who seems to already have everything?
If you go through the above list can you still say that your unique gift idea is unique enough to know that it will not be duplicated?
Ron Thomson as the developer of BeRomantic.com had to struggle to continually research and find romantic gifts for couples worldwide. In the end he found one perfect gift idea almost on his own doorstep and helped bring it to an international market. “When I first saw the concept of helping someone become a Lord or Lady I thought it was fantastic and bought the company.” Over the last four years it has been developed with a much better presentation package and a completely revised new Laird of Jura Handbook. Many recipients of this unique novelty gift idea have so loved the gift package they have since become customers buying for other friends. What better recommendation can any gift idea have?
