How to Avoid Eczema Inflammation in the Snow

If you suffer from eczema like myself you are surely aware that a trip to the mountains or any high altitude region usually results in an inflammation of eczema. Alas, I can now happily proclaim that there is a simple answer to our problems.

GETTING TO KNOW ECZEMA

Eczema is a common skin condition that instigates due to an allergic reaction. It is often referred to as dermatitis, a catch-all term for inflammation of the skin, although some experts use the term ‘eczema’ for specific types of dermatitis, such as atopic dermatitis in children.

Regardless of the fact there are numerous triggers that set off eczema and dermatitis the effect is usually the same: when the skin is inflamed it gets red, swollen or blistered, and intensely itchy, leaving those with the condition in an unrelenting degree of irritation.

ALTITUDE INFLAMES ECZEMA

As a rule of thumb, the higher the altitude the more extreme the climate and the greater effect it has on your skin. As a result of the increased elevation the air is considerably thinner , stripping it of all of its moisture. To throw further salt into the wound, elevated climate’s temperatures usually shift drastically from warmer days with high UV levels to bitterly cold nights compensated for by hot, dry air in lodges and homes.

As you can likely assume, this has a considerably negative effect on sensitive skin. The drastically drier air sucks all of the moisture out of the skin leaving it extremely dry, irritated, and red, which enraged eczema to unbearably high levels.

NATURAL SKIN CARE BALMS ARE THE ANSWER

Most medical experts advise packing a natural nourishing lotion that can replenish the moisture extracted from his skin. This allows the skin to stay hydrated, thereby eliminating the risk of inflaming eczema, and removing any chance of additional discomfort during a mountain vacation.

Experts have found the best type of natural skin care balms to be those which contain Helix Aspersa Muller glycoconjugates and rosehip seed oil, such as BIOBALM. These two ingredients are the closest natural substances that parallel the structural composition of human skin, allowing them to hydrate the skin more effectively than chemicals, essentially making it an excellent treatment for eczema. In addition, the daily application of BIOBALM acts not only an outstanding eczema and dermatitis treatment, it is also a fantastic protector against sunburn and an array of other skin conditions and allergies. Needless to say, you shouldn’t hit the mountains without it!
